Services

KenWalt Die Casting provides full-service manufacturing support, from raw casting to precision-machined, fully assembled parts. With more than five decades of experience, we specialize in KenWalt die casting services that include aluminum and zinc casting, prototyping, CNC machining, hand finishing, surface treatments, and packaging. All services are performed in-house at our Sun Valley, California facility to ensure speed, quality, and consistency.

We support industries that demand reliability and performance, including aerospace, transportation, defense, and energy. Whether you need thousands of production parts or a short prototype run, we build it right the first time.

Aluminum & Zinc Die Casting

KenWalt produces high-quality aluminum and zinc parts using both cold and hot chamber die casting. Aluminum is strong, lightweight, and ideal for parts that must hold up to heat or vibration. Zinc is best for detailed parts that need dimensional accuracy and corrosion resistance
.
Our team uses vacuum-assisted technology and multi-cavity tooling to improve quality and reduce cost. Projects range from aluminum structural parts for EVs to small zinc brackets used in LED lighting systems.

Prototyping

Our prototyping services help you test and refine designs before committing to production. We assist with early-stage planning, offer tooling recommendations, and suggest improvements that reduce time and cost.

Prototype parts are fully cast, machined, and finished to production specs. We’ve supported projects in aerospace, electronics, consumer goods, and more.

Die Trimming and Hand Deburring

Every die cast part goes through trimming and deburring to remove excess material and sharp edges. This improves fit, safety, and appearance.

We use custom dies for flash removal and hand tools for smoothing edges and cleaning surfaces. This step is especially important for visible parts or assemblies with tight fits—like kitchen tools, medical housings, or industrial brackets.

CNC Machining

Our CNC machining services add precision to parts that need detailed features or tight tolerances. We perform drilling, milling, tapping, and multi-axis machining with high accuracy.

This is essential for parts like mounting plates, sensor housings, and valve bodies. Machined parts are finished and inspected on-site for fit and function.

Metal Finishes

We offer several finishing options to protect and improve the final appearance of castings. These include anodizing, powder coating, chrome plating, sandblasting, ball burnishing, and chem film.

Each finish is selected to match how the part will be used. A polished kitchen utensil may need burnishing, while a defense component may require corrosion protection without changing part dimensions.

Assembly and Packaging

KenWalt handles full assembly and packaging in-house, saving you time and reducing the need for outside vendors. We build sub-assemblies, press in inserts, and perform functional checks when needed.

Packaging options include trays, dividers, custom wraps, and inventory-ready solutions like dock-to-stock or KANBAN. We’ve packaged everything from high-volume zinc castings to delicate aluminum housings.
